Every so often you come across a talent, be it musical or otherwise, that you can just FEEL a strong future coming their way, and DJ Diddy Official simples exudes that official (apologies for the bad pun) vibe. After coming across some of DJ Diddy Official’s work, I just had to reach out and see what makes this artist tick, and DJ Diddy Official was generous enough to give me some of his time during his busiest world tour that is currently ongoing!
DJ Diddy Official was born Anwar Gavilanez in the Bronx borough of New York City. DJ Diddy Official had a modest upbringing and saw his family move to areas of South Jersey during his youth after he before he entered the first grade, such as Atlantic City from grades 1 to 3 and the remainder in Galloway, New Jersey, leading to DJ Diddy Official finding solace in music.
Growing up, DJ Diddy Official had music in his blood. His father is a well known international Spanish Tour DJ, leading to his interest in DJing at an early age. This turned from a hobby to something more substantial when he was in high school where he began to throw house parties. At these house parties, DJ Diddy Official would hate the music so much that he would take control and handle all music himself, which impressed his peers enough to make the young DJ highly in demand.
DJ Diddy Offical’s career took a financial turn for the better once he was personally invited to DJ at the Life in Color and HyperGlow events, which led to a few gigs he “could never have dreamed of” prior, eventually leading him to become one of the youngest but still highly respected DJs on the national scene.
Through these events he received major exposure, leading to touring and performing with musicians such as 6ix9ine, PnB Rock, Lil Uzi Vert, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Juice WRLD, just to name a few, a fact he is very proud of, but still humbly shares that he has so much more to accomplish.
DJ Diddy Official has is also a DJ that has international dreams, and is currently living that dream with his current world tour, the cheekily named “Do You Get Ass” International Tour, which has already taken the young DJ to Tel Aviv, Israel, and has upcoming dates in Germany, Lebanon and Paris.
