Gas Prices to Remain Relatively Low in 2015

The clichéd topic of high gas prices may not be a topic of discussion in 2015. Over the past few months, nearing the end of 2014, American citizens were over joyed to see gas prices start to go down, and to continue to keep on rolling down. In some parts of the country gas has even reached under two dollars per gallon, a price many of us have not seen since 2009. While these prices seem unfathomable to some in today’s society, reports are saying that gas is going to stay under 3 dollars per gallon throughout 2015, in fact the expected average for gas prices in 2015 is said to be around 2.60 per gallon. To put how this number is truly significant is to express that Americans will save about 100 billion dollars throughout the year on fuel, and an average of 550 dollars per family.

Who can we thank for these prices? Well the answer lays in the fact that crude oil supplies have decreased in price, which makes it cheaper to obtain the fuel. It is clear that suppliers are harvesting as much oil as they can at the moment while the market for these supplies remain lowered, which will only help out the consumers pockets in the long hall. Now people will talk about gas prices with glee instead of sorrow.
