Sometimes simply reading an inspirational story has the ability to uplift our moods and have a positive effect on our outlook of the day. One such story is about a woman named Jessica Cox.
Jessica Cox is a 32 year-old woman and loves scuba diving, riding horses, likes to wakeboard, is a martial artist and even has a pilot’s licence. She has several talents indeed but unfortunately she does not have any arms.
The Arizonian was even the first woman to fly a plane with just her feet. When asked about how she could possibly manage all of these amazing feats, Cox said, “I didn’t see my not having arms as being a limitation. Naturally people saw the fact that I didn’t have arms as a limiting factor. But I was there to prove them wrong.”
Cox was born with a rare non-genetic birth defect, because of which, she does not have any arms. However even as a kid she was unstoppable and participated in gymnastics, tap-dancing and so much more.
As of now, Cox is a motivational speaker who travels with her husband Patrick to share her inspiring story to people.
