Sabine Keller-Busse, head of UBS’s domestic division, said on Tuesday that the way clients engage with their bankers is changing thanks to artificial intelligence.
She compared the transition to how patients go to the doctor with an image of their ailment in mind, and how clients use AI to generate ideas that they subsequently pitch to banks.
“In our industry, this will happen as well because Chat GPT provides more data,” Keller-Busse stated at the Point Zero Forum in Zurich. “We have to be aware that our clients are using it.”

The Swiss bank has been using artificial intelligence into its services and products since last year, when it launched a pilot for quick lending aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, which frequently require immediate liquidity.
According to her, this service allows you to circumvent credit officers and expedite the process for the pretty basic merchandise.
“It’s just the beginning of what we will see,” Keller-Busse added.
