On Wednesday, Volvo Car AB (VOLCARb.ST) said that its March sales rose 10% to 162,938 automobiles, boosted by its completely electric cars.

In the first three months of 2019, Volvo Cars, majority-owned by China’s Geely Group (0175. HK), sold 41% of its cars worldwide as completely electric versions.

In Europe’s first quarter of 2023, Volvo Car’s completely electric cars accounted for 62% of sales.

The group’s overall automobile sales rose 22% in February, with recharge models up 187% and fully electric cars for 19% of sales.

Volvo Cars, based in Torslanda, Gothenburg, manufactures premium cars. SUVs, station wagons, and sedans are produced. The firm promotes safety and Swedish design.
