Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing business of Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN.O), announced on Thursday that it will invest 1.06 trillion rupees ($13 billion) in India by 2030 to meet rising demand.

AWS said its latest investment would construct cloud infrastructure in India and support over 100,000 full-time employees.

In 2016, the business opened a data center in Mumbai; in 2022, it opened one in Hyderabad.

AWS stated that by 2030, it will invest $16.4 billion in India.

Storage, robotics, and AI are among the 200+ cloud services.

Amazon’s cloud division invests in global connectivity. For example, it pledged $6 billion in Malaysia by 2037 earlier this year.
