On Wednesday, the Elysee Palace said that French President Emmanuel Macron and U.S. President Joe Biden agreed to work with China to stop the Ukrainian war.
“The two leaders have expressed their common desire to engage China to speed the conclusion of the war in Ukraine and take part in creating durable peace in the area,” Macron’s office stated.
The Elysee said Macron and Biden believed China could help develop a climate and biodiversity agenda for the global north and south. No details.
Macron visits China Wednesday–Friday. The Chinese foreign ministry said President Xi Jinping would meet with him to discuss bilateral ties.
