On Monday, McDonald’s Japan announced pricing increases at 184 city center locations, 6% of its 3,000 outlets, to offset rising rents and labor costs.

Forty retailers in city centers, airports, and highway service stations had “city centre pricing” until today.

McDonald’s Holdings Company Japan (2702.T) announced July 19 pricing changes.

Many companies are passing on imported energy and raw material costs to consumers.

McDonald’s, Japan’s largest fast-food restaurant, has raised prices three times since March 2022, including in January.

McDonald’s announced 10–90 yen price increases per item or set. In a press statement, Big Mac delivery would cost 590 yen ($4.16) from 540.

From 133 to 141.81, the yen has fallen.
