MOSCOW, Feb 2 – The Kremlin said on Monday that Russia is continuing efforts to reduce tensions surrounding Iran, adding that it has long offered to help by processing or storing Iran’s enriched uranium.
When asked whether Moscow was holding talks with Iran and the United States about potentially taking custody of Iranian enriched uranium, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the issue was not new.

“This topic has been under discussion for a long time,” Peskov said.
He noted that Russia has for years proposed its services as a possible solution that could help remove concerns for several countries.
“At the moment, Russia is maintaining its efforts, staying in contact with all interested parties, and remains ready to do everything it can to help de-escalate tensions around Iran,” Peskov added
