Tesla is recalling 125,227 vehicles in the United States owing to a problem with its seat belt warning system, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Friday.
According to the regulator, the vehicles did not meet federal safety standards since their seat belt warning light and audio chime may not function properly when the driver is not fastened.

The recall covers specific car models, including the 2012–2024 Model S, 2015–2024 Model X, 2017–2023 Model 3, and 2020–2023 Model Y.
Tesla will provide an over-the-air software update to correct the issue, NHTSA stated.
