Bloomberg News reported on Friday that Carlyle Group Inc. (CG.O) might seek new investors for its stake in McDonald’s Corp.’s (MCD.N) China operations at $8-$10 billion.

According to the article, Carlyle and Trustar Capital, which own McDonald’s China, could sell part of their interests while retaining control.

Bloomberg said that preliminary considerations are underway.

The U.S. fast-food company sold most of its China and Hong Kong business to CITIC and Carlyle for up to $2.1 billion in 2017. CITIC Capital Holdings owns the private equity firm Trustar Capital.

Reuters received no response from Carlyle, McDonald’s, or Trustar.
