Airbnb’s four-part payment option increases pricing transparency. Airbnb Inc. (ABNB.O) predicts a record 300 million guest visits in 2023 and will allow customers to pay in installments and view the nightly pricing, including fees while browsing.

Remote and hybrid employment that encouraged long-term travel benefited the San Francisco corporation. In addition, Airbnb wants affordable travelers as the economy worsens.

“We know that inflation and the economy are on everyone’s mind and we want to make sure that people realize that Airbnb is an affordable way to travel,” Airbnb co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Nathan Blecharczyk told Reuters.

AirDNA said inexpensive short-term rentals in March saw 21% more nights stayed year-over-year. 16% more economy rentals.

Airbnb introduced the Airbnb Rooms category to let tourists rediscover rooms as a cost-effective choice.

According to the firm, 80% of the category’s accommodations cost less than $100 a night, averaging $67.

“During the pandemic because of social distancing, fewer people were doing this kind of arrangement, but we think now going forward it is a great option,” Blecharczyk said.

Airbnb’s cooperation with Klarna Bank AB lets U.S. and Canadian visitors pay four interest-free payments over six weeks. U.S. visitors can pay monthly for stays exceeding $500.

Airbnb promises more nations throughout the year.

The update also addresses visitor complaints. For example, a 24/7 support team will answer 90% of calls for travelers in two minutes or less.

While browsing, guests can see the nightly price, including fees, but before taxes, and hosts can compare their listing to their neighbors. A firm upgrade will standardize host charges and lower visitor prices.
