According to a regulatory filing on Friday, Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.O) CEO Sundar Pichai made $226 million in 2022, more than 800 times the median employee’s remuneration.
According to the filing, Pichai received $218 million in stock awards.
In January, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, revealed plans to shed 12,000 employees worldwide, or 6% of its global staff.
After a layoff disagreement, hundreds of Google employees in London walked out early this month.
After over 200 Google employees were put off in March, Zurich employees walked out.
