After reporting higher-than-expected first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, Danone (DANO.PA), the world’s largest yogurt manufacturer, boosted its 2023 sales growth projection.

Danone, the creator of Activia yogurt, Evian water, and Aptamil newborn milk, now expects like-for-like 2023 sales growth of 4%–6%, up from 3-5%.

It predicted a modest increase in recurring operating margin for the year.

Danone’s first-quarter revenue grew 10.5% like-for-like to 6.96 billion euros, exceeding a company-compiled average of 18 analysts’ 7.3% rise.

It stated Essential Dairy and Plant-based, Specialised Nutrition and Water helped growth.
