Before the start of 2025, Qatar Airways will decide on a sizable wide-body purchase.
Boeing has recently announced Despite jetmakers being under supply chain pressure and airlines complaining about delivery delays, more plane orders trickled in at Tuesday’s Farnborough Airshow.

While Airbus  announced orders from Virgin Atlantic and Japan Airlines, Boeing announced deals with Qatar Airways and Macquarie Airfinance. However, much of the business had already been reported.
Reuters reported that flydubai was in preliminary discussions with Airbus and Boeing for its biggest ever order, while Qatar Airways hinted at the possibility of a “sizeable” order for wide-body jets at the beginning of the year.

Due to Airbus and Boeing’s history of sold-out production and ongoing struggles to increase capacity due to supply chain issues, delegates to this year’s showcase aviation industry event had been anticipating a lack of deal-making opportunities.
Some airlines have been unable to capitalize on the post-pandemic travel boom due to jet delivery delays, and this boom may be beginning to fade.
In January, a panel came off a nearly-new 737 MAX 9 in midair, bringing legal and regulatory attention to bear on Boeing, which forced it to reduce production.
