Software

Software is the set of instructions and data that tells a machine how to work. On the other hand, physical technology is what the system is built on and does all the work. In computer science and software engineering, all the information that computers handle is called software. Software is made up of programs and data. Software for computers includes programs, libraries, and data that can’t be run, like digital music or online documentation. Hardware and software for computers work hand-in-hand; one without the other won’t work well.
