On Saturday, Ford Motor Company (F.N) announced it would begin accepting orders for its best-selling F-150 Lightning pickup truck the next week to raise annual production to 150,000 units.

On Wednesday, a source informed Reuters that Ford is experiencing problems manufacturing F-150 pickup trucks due to a scarcity of door handles.

In February, a battery fire disrupted production at the company. However, manufacturing resumed in March.

Although some of the automaker’s North American plants are suffering from a shortage of supplier parts, the company said in an emailed statement on Wednesday that it anticipates making up all the lost output.

Ford reported first-quarter results that smashed expectations this week, and the company maintained plans to raise Lightning production to 150,000 vehicles per year by year’s end.
