On Saturday, Iraq demanded that Turkey apologize for shelling Sulaymaniyah airport in northern Iraq and end hostilities in Iraq.

The Iraqi president stated Turkey has no legal right to “maintain its policy of harassing people under the pretense that forces opposed to it are present on Iraqi land.”

Lawk Ghafuri, KRG head of international media affairs, tweeted late Friday that a drone assault near Sulaymaniyah airport caused no damage, delays, or cancellations.

The strike occurred a few days after Turkey restricted its airspace to Sulaymaniyah flights owing to PKK insurgent activities.
