Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters on Thursday that the government is finalizing its approval of an Osaka casino resort project.
U.S. casino operator MGM Resorts International (MGM.N) and local partner Orix Corp (8591.T) proposed the Osaka integrated resort project, which includes Japan’s first casino.
On Wednesday, Jiji reported that the government would approve the Osaka casino proposal on Friday.
