Envision Healthcare Corp. and its wholly-owned subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday.

In a court filing, the U.S. medical provider projected assets and liabilities between $1 billion and $10 billion.

AMSURG, which oversees ambulatory surgery clinics, and Envision Physician Services would be separately held under a restructuring assistance agreement for $7.7 billion in financial obligations, the business said.

Envision’s AMSURG business will buy surgery centers for $300 million and cancel intercompany loans.

It said the corporation would extinguish all debt save a revolving credit arrangement, deleveraging $5.6 billion.
