North Korea’s Kim Jong-un Condemns Franco and Rogan For New Film

North Korea’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, after learning about the new comedy film, “The Interview,” which follows the plot of two men who have paired up to assassinate Jong-un, has condemned lead actors of the film, Seth Rogen and James Franco.

The comedy, set to be released in October 2014, unfolds when the hilarious duo, who play two late night talk show hosts, are given the chance to interview Jong-un, yet before making their trip are recruited by the U.S. Secret Service to assassinate the North Korean ruler.

The film jokes about the many myths surrounding the hyper-secretive Communist nation. In a trailer, a secret service officer claims that North Koreans believe everything the government tells them about their leader, including that “he never has to urinate or defecate,” and that “he can speak to dolphins”

Yet the executive director for The Centre for North Korea-US Peace, Kim Myong-choi is not amused, instead telling The Telegraph, that the comedy film shows “the desperation of the US government and American society.”

He continued, pointing out the apparent irony of the American film makes light of an assassination. “A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the US has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine. And let us not forget who killed Kennedy – Americans. President Obama should be careful in case the US military wants to kill him as well.”

Myong-choi did however admit that Kim Jong-un would likely still watch the movie upon its release.

Apparently, the spokesman much prefers the adventures of James Bond to James Franco, quoting that he prefers British films, as opposed to Hollywood cinema, stating that “James bond is a good character and those films are much more enjoyable.”
