The Democratic Party hasn’t picked Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate yet, but it’s already clear that she is a joke online.
In a tweet over the weekend, British pop star Charli XCX mentioned her and called the vice president a “brat.” This is the latest proof of how popular she is among Gen Z.
It is something that Harris’s team is playing up.
As soon as Harris posted “kamala IS brat” on Sunday night, giving the name of her new album to the artist, the U.S. vice president used the album’s lime green color scheme for her “Kamala HQ” account.
There were already jokes going around online with video clips of Harris dancing and joking to Charli XCX songs, and Charli XCX was recognizing that.
