Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that the prime minister had ordered him to cancel his trip to Washington for the spring IMF and World Bank meetings owing to the political environment.
Dar said he would digitally attend major bilateral and international meetings and send a Pakistani team to Washington. The minister denied that Pakistan’s IMF bailout package stalled the trip.
