According to its website, Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) raised the US pricing of its Model Y electric car on Tuesday.

The website showed that the variant’s price rose $250 to $47,740, while the other versions’ costs stayed fixed in the U.S.

Since April 19, Tesla has raised Model Y costs three times.

In May, the business raised Model S, X, and Y prices by single-digit percentages.

Since January, Tesla has cut prices globally to boost sales. CEO Elon Musk said the company would sacrifice margins for sales volume and hike prices where possible.

Even after Tuesday’s price boost, Model Y’s pricing is 4.5% below its April price cut.
