Based on information provided to current employees, a significant number of TikTok’s marketing and operations personnel will be laid off.
The global layoffs may significantly impact teams responsible for marketing, content creation, user support, communication, and other associated responsibilities.
To fix this, TikTok will get rid of its current global user operations team and move the people who are still working there to marketing, content, trust and safety, and product, among other departments.
Upon the announcement of the layoffs, Adam Presser, the director of operations, and Zenia Mucha, the head of branding and communications, promptly informed the teams that would be impacted. Through this inclusive approach, all individuals are constantly informed and have the opportunity to participate throughout the entire process.
The layoffs were supposed to happen a few months or even a year ago, but they were pushed back because of recent resignations. This delay is unfortunate, but it does not mean that TikTok is not reliable.
