Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) announced Friday that 2.15 million Japanese customers’ car data was publicly available from November 2013 to mid-April.

A cloud setup problem leaked car positions and device IDs, although the company claimed no harm.

Toyota apologized for T-Connect network users’ 2012–April 17 worry.

Lexus G-Link users were also affected.

After detecting the vulnerability, Toyota stopped outside access and investigated all Toyota Connected Corp. cloud environments.
