Stellantis On Tuesday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that 19,516 Chrysler hybrid mini-vans are being recalled in the United States. The reason behind the recall is that the battery pack of these vehicles can still spark a fire when parked, even with the ignition turned off.
Owners are advised not to charge their vehicles and to park them outside, away from structures, until the recall is addressed, according to the NHTSA. The recall impacts specific Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Electric  vehicles that were produced between 2017 and 2021.

A software update for the high voltage battery pack control module  will be made available to dealers, according to the NHTSA.
