Israel says no humanitarian break to Gaza siege unless hostages are freed. After the Red Cross appealed for fuel to be allowed in to avoid overburdened hospitals from “turning into morgues,” Israel declared on Thursday that there would be no humanitarian relief in its embargo of the Gaza Strip until all of its detainees were freed. In retaliation for the bloodiest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, in which hundreds of gunmen stormed into Israeli cities on Saturday, Israel has pledged to completely destroy the Hamas organisation that controls the Gaza Strip.

Over 1,300 people have died in Israel since Saturday, according to public broadcaster Kan. Most of them were innocent people who were shot dead in their homes, on the streets, or while dancing. Numerous hostages, both Israeli and international, were returned to Gaza.

After regaining control of communities, Israeli soldiers discovered homes strewn with remains, including those of women who had been raped and slain as well as children who had been shot and burnt. This revealed the entire scope of the crimes. In response, Israel has so far completely besieged the enclave, which is home to 2.3 million people, and launched the most intense bombing assault in the 75-year history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, obliterating entire neighborhoods.

According to Gazan officials, the explosion left more than 1,200 people dead and more than 5,000 others injured. The hospital generators’ fuel supply is running low due to the shut-down of the only electric power plant.

Fabrizio Carboni, regional director of the International Committee of the Red Cross, issued a statement on Thursday saying, “The human misery caused by this escalation is abhorrent, and I implore the sides to reduce the suffering of civilians.” “As Gaza loses power, hospitals also lose power, endangering infants in incubators and senior citizens who depend on oxygen. X-rays cannot be obtained, and kidney dialysis is stopped. Without power, hospitals run the risk of becoming morgues.

Israel’s Energy Minister, Israel Katz, stated that if Israeli captives were not released, there would be no exemption to the blockade.

human services to Gaza? Until the Israeli prisoners are freed, no electricity switch will be raised, no water hydrant will be unlocked, and no fuel vehicle will be allowed to enter. For the sake of humanity. And no one should lecture us on morals,” Katz said on social media.

NO DETERMINATION ON GROUND ASSAULT

A lady attempted to soothe a crying young child who continued yelling “my mother, I want my mother” at the hospital in Khan Younis, the principal city in the southern Gaza Strip.

She is trying to locate her mother. The lady who took the kid in her arms stated, “We don’t know where she is. After an air attack devastated their home, the girl’s face was left with scrapes and bruises.

Residents of the Al Shati refugee camp in Gaza were using their bare hands to dig through the debris in search of remains and survivors. The tools and gasoline needed to extricate people from collapsed structures, according to rescuers, are lacking.

New rocket attacks from Gaza hit Ashkelon in southern Israel over the barrier, causing damage to vehicles and structures. Workers cleaned up the trash.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel on Thursday as part of a mission to express support for Israel, hinder the expansion of the conflict, and work for the release of captives, including Americans.

He will also go to Jordan, and representatives of the Palestinian Authority, an opponent of the Islamist group Hamas that rules Gaza, said Blinken will meet with Mahmoud Abbas on Friday.

On Wednesday, Israel established a new unity government, including Benjamin Netanyahu’s detractors in the cabinet.

In preparation for what may be a ground invasion on Gaza, it has called up hundreds of thousands of reservists. Although the decision to invade has not yet been taken, military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Hecht stated early on Thursday that “we are preparing for it.”

The recent nighttime assaults targeted the “Nukhba Force” of Hamas, which was in charge of the attacks on Saturday. According to Hecht, Palestinian gunmen were still attempting to enter Israel through the water, and the IDF was still working to fortify the Gaza line.

LETTER TO IRAQ

Just when Israel was getting ready to conclude a deal to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia, the most powerful Arab nation, and months after Riyadh restored relations with its regional foe Iran, sponsor of Hamas, the conflict has shattered regional diplomacy.

Tehran has praised the Hamas strikes but has refuted responsibility. According to Vice President Joe Biden of the United States, Iran should be warned to keep out of the conflict by armed ships and planes being stationed closer to Israel.

“We made it clear to the Iranians: Be careful,” Biden stated.

On Wednesday, Netanyahu appointed Benny Gantz, the head of the moderate opposition, to the administration. In his speech introducing the unity war cabinet, Gantz stated, “At this point, we are all the soldiers of Israel.” Netanyahu stated: “We have put aside all differences because the fate of our state is on the line.”
