ANA Holdings Inc (9202.T), Japan’s largest airline, boosted its profit prediction for the just-ended fiscal year on Friday, citing lower fuel costs and a stronger currency.

In a statement, the business now expects 120 billion yen ($897 million) in operating profit through March 2023, up from 95 billion. April 27 will bring full-year results.

After Japan eased pandemic border procedures, business and inbound travel increased, boosting international passenger revenues in the fourth quarter, ANA said. However, it reported flat international cargo revenue.

In a February mid-term plan, ANA projected 200 billion yen in operating profit in fiscal 2025. In fiscal 2025 and 2030, the airline’s fleet will reach 295, near pre-pandemic levels.
