Russian missiles targeted Kharkiv in Ukraine, injuring two people, according to authorities

According to local authorities, Russian missiles struck industrial buildings in Kharkiv, the largest city in eastern Ukraine, on Wednesday, injuring two people.

The second-largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv, has been routinely attacked since Russia invaded Ukraine a year ago. It is around 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the Russian border.

“Four strikes were reported to have occurred in the Kharkiv neighborhood of Kyiv. Targeting industrial facilities is the enemy’s strategy “The mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, sent a message on Telegram.

Oleh Synehubov, the regional governor, said separately that two citizens had suffered minor injuries but provided no other information.

Because Friday marks the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian officials have stated that they anticipate more intense Russian missile and drone attacks in the following days. Eastern Ukraine has seen some of the war’s heaviest combat.
