The tech market is a place that always calibrates its products. What is new today is old tomorrow. But every now and then, there is that one futuristic devise that catches our eye. In this case, “catching our eye” is not just an expression. FOVE has a new headset that helps the user control technology through eye-movements.

There are two cameras in this headset and both of these built-in cameras are in the head mount and help you control the user interface. Just like something out of a science fiction movie, the futuristic devise can have its application in so many fields.

Not only has hands-free been taken to a new level but it also has the potential to allow remote control of technology like never before. Imagine a doctor in Australia conducting surgery in Japan through nothing but expertise and eye-movement. Or imagine a pilot riding a plane from ground-zero. The applications to this technology are endless indeed.

Technology like that can truly enhance the quality of everyday human life. Hopefully, the eye-tracker is applied, perfected and popularized as soon as tomorrow. We can then all have our own visors just like Star Trek.
