After Dominic Raab’s resignation on Friday, British politician Alex Chalk will become justice minister, the Times’ political editor announced.

After a bullying report, deputy prime minister and justice minister Raab resigned.

Chalk, 46, has been Minister for Defence Procurement since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister in October.

Chalk became a lawmaker in 2015 after 14 years as a barrister. Before politics, he specialized in counter-terrorism, homicide, and major fraud.
