Google Maps New Update Will Help You Prevent Traffic

Google continues to make our lives even easier by adding a new feature on to their Google Maps. You will now receive immediate traffic alerts when on route to your destination.

Not only will Google Maps give you the most efficient and fastest way to get to your destination, but it will also warn you of any traffic or construction on the way.

The feature was just added in time for Memorial Day Weekend when everyone is on the road for their vacations.

Google already gave us updates on traffic with a colored line, yellow indicated moderate traffic and red meant a heavy traffic. With the new update it will go beyond just these indications.

Now you will be alerted of any traffic jams or blockage on your route along with an explanation and then it will guide you through an alternate route that will be faster. When giving you a new route they will let you know how long it is to stay on that route and how much time it will be to change so you can decide if it is worth it to change your course.

Google is also using its last year history search to determine the hot-spots for the busy weekend so they have all the routes ready with no delays.

Enjoy your journeys and enjoy bypassing all the traffic!
