When Jeanine Pirro appeared on The View to promote her new book “Liars, Leakers and Liberals” she was bombarded with verbal attacks coming from show host Whoopi Goldberg. The two were discussing a recent heated topic, President Trump. Pirro explained that she believes that Trump has been doing an exceptional job as president and Goldberg was triggered.
“I suspect this is going to go on because she has a show on Saturday and stuff. But look, you can come to this show, we treat everybody with respect. But you cannot come and call people names,” Goldberg explained after the incident.
There have been reports that Goldberg spat on Pirro. Goldberg quickly responded:
“I did not spit on her. I did not intimidate her. No one chased her out of here, but she did leave here cursing at the people who book the show. She cursed at the guys who do the security for the show.”
Pirro recalled the incident in several statements with Fox news:
“After that [the show], I was cursed at and I and my team were thrown out of the building. She said ‘F-you’ in my face, literally spitting at me. ‘F you, get the F out of this building!”
“Should I be angry? I suppose I should. But in the end, this isn’t about me.”
“I’ve tried murder cases, I’ve gone against drug cartels… I have never been treated like that in my life.”
“I accept that you and I have different versions of what went on both on and off the air, and we have completely different takes on President Trump and the job he’s doing. Let’s agree to disagree and put this episode to bed once and for all.”
Pirro’s statements about what she calls “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is what really set off the hosts.
Pirro left her final remarks about Whoopi by saying the following:
“Thanks, Whoopi, I preferred you in the movie Ghost much more than I do on The View. But then again, we are all entitled to our opinions.”
