Ebola has been around for a long time and the disease surely has made it difficult for places that have been affected by the contagion. About a year ago, airports had to quarantine passengers so that the virus may not spread too easily to more geographical locations.
As of now, there is a beacon of hope to help fight this disease. A vaccine has been developed to help fight the spread of the virus; this vaccine has been tested and proves to be a hundred percent successful against the virus.
About four thousand people and several organizations have reported that the vaccination actually works like a miracle. While the VSV-EBOV vaccine is completely effective, a few more trials and results will be analyzed and the vaccine will then be able to surely do some good for the people in the affected areas of the world.
Dr. Margaret Chan, who is the director general of the World Health Organization, has said,
“This is an extremely promising development. The credit goes to the Guinean Government, the people living in the communities and our partners in this project. An effective vaccine will be another very important tool for both current and future Ebola outbreaks.”
