Pebbles smart watch users can now track ESPN scores from their wrists. The app that tracks multiple games can be set up to vibrate when scores change. Users must pair their Pebble smart watch with an iOS or Android smart phone to enable the app. It features scores and stats from every professional league, so it’s possible to track the progress of your favorite teams across several sports.

According to Ryan Spoon, digital production management ESPN SVP, “The ESPN app for Pebble extends our presence on wearable technology and reflects a belief in product and content mobility. Whether it is a watch, a phone or a 65-inch TV, our focus is for ESPN to be there when fans are.”

Entry-level Pebble smart watches cost $150. Two premium models, which are sold in either black-matte or a brushed-stainless steel finish, are priced at $249. Pebble raised $10.3M in a Kickstarter campaign in 2012. The watches are loaded with features, email alerts and social media updates. Pebble watches face competition from the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. The Pebble’s watches are waterproof and have a battery that can last up to four days; those two points could be the swaying point for many people considering buying a smart watch.

Another advantage for the Pebble watches is a reflective LCD display. Some displays for smart watches are black an white, which don’t stand a chance. Color displays can’t match the Pebble’s display, either. You shake it to light it up indoors. Pebble watches are adept at connecting to Android and iPhone’s alike. Add that to its handsome design and durability and it hold its own against even the highly touted Moto 360.
